Lee County-Tupelo Adult Jail saw an influx of felony bookings over the past week, with multiple individuals arrested for a range of charges including drug possession, disorderly conduct, and grand larceny. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office and Tupelo Police Department were among the agencies involved in apprehending these suspects.
Among those arrested was Jodi Agnew, a 27-year-old resident of Tupelo, who was taken into custody by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office for possession of a Schedule II drug. Kobe Dewayne Bady, a 24-year-old from Tupelo, was arrested by the Tupelo Police Department for possession of a Schedule II drug, disorderly conduct, improper turn, possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, and resisting arrest.
Christopher Decanter, a 26-year-old from Covington, Tennessee, was also arrested by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of possession of methamphetamine. Michael W. Gilmore, a 33-year-old resident of Tupelo, was arrested by the Tupelo Police Department for grand larceny and driving without insurance.
Quintavious Deshaun Goree, a 24-year-old from Shannon, faced charges of possession of a Schedule II drug, disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana, and running a stop sign, also by the Tupelo Police Department. Another Tupelo resident, Adam J. Lee, 43, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office for the possession of methamphetamine, in addition to surrendering his bond.
The arrest list continues with Brandon Parmely, a 40-year-old homeless individual, who was apprehended by the Guntown Police Department for violating probation. Montayo Richardson, a 43-year-old resident of Columbus, was arrested by the Mississippi Department of Corrections for violating probation.
Caleb W. Sanders, 33, of Guntown, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office for possession of methamphetamine, and Austin C. Schoppe, 29, of Fulton, was taken into custody by the Tupelo Police Department for accessory to auto burglary. Lastly, Michael P. Smith, a 43-year-old from Belden, was arrested by the Saltillo Police Department for violating probation.
In addition to the arrests, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received reports of various incidents. A Saltillo man reported that his game camera, placed on a power pole along County Road 821, had picked up a photo of a doe before displaying a black screen. The camera’s GPS indicated that it was located at an address on Malone Avenue.
Another incident involved a County Road 484 resident in Shannon, who discovered that a vehicle had veered off the road and destroyed a section of chain-link fencing, potentially due to the recent ice storm.
A woman residing on Glen Lane in Shannon reported an unusual encounter with her six-year-old cat. The feline began scratching her legs, prompting her to retreat to her bedroom and call 911. She described the pet as a personal one that she had owned for several years.
Meanwhile, a Tupelo woman stated that someone had entered her former residence on County Road 1438 in January and stolen several items, including an ice maker, Xbox, computer, window unit, and a sapphire and diamond tennis bracelet. She mentioned past issues with trespassers on the property.
Regarding firearm-related incidents, a Saltillo man reported a missing 9mm pistol from his vehicle, unable to identify the person responsible or the exact time of the theft.
A Mooreville woman expressed concern about a house that recently burned down on County Road 1393. She noted the sudden presence of individuals coming and going from the property, suspecting their activities to be drug-related.
In another peculiar case, a Tupelo resident living on Leon Holland Road informed authorities that a vehicle had driven around their house, causing significant damage to the yard.
