The University of South Australia’s Innovation & Collaboration Centre (ICC) and Australian Centre for Business Growth (AuCBG) have partnered to launch a scaleup pathway for space startups. The initiative, funded by the South Australian Government, offers fully funded support to companies that graduate from the ICC’s Venture Catalyst Space accelerator program. In addition to a $10,000 equity-free acceleration stipend, eligible startups can now apply for the AuCBG’s Growth Ramp scaleup program. This new offering aims to enhance the commercial viability of space companies and their technologies, supporting their growth and success within the space ecosystem. The program has already seen significant success, with 36 space startups collectively raising over $31 million in investment and creating more than 220 new space jobs. The launch of the scaleup pathway further strengthens South Australia’s space industry and positions Adelaide as a hub for space startups to thrive. Applications for the 2024 Venture Catalyst Space program are now open.
