A multinational search team is continuing its search for a submersible with five people onboard, which went missing near the century-old wreck of the Titanic. Operated by US-based OceanGate Expeditions, the submersible Titan set off with 96 hours of air and was expected to be depleted sometime on Thursday. However, the countdown merely offered a hypothetical deadline in case the vessel was still intact in punishing depths at or near the sea floor. Five different planes searched for the vessel, while rescue teams took hope in reports that Canadian search planes had detected undersea noises earlier this week using sonar buoys. The French submersible robot, the Victor 6,000, was also en route to scan the area where the Titan is believed to have gone missing.
