Mary Jayne Mundo 1947-2024
Mary Jayne Fogarty Mundo, a beloved member of the community, passed away at Trumbull Regional Medical Center on Friday at the age of 76.
Born on December 9, 1947, in Warren, Mary Jayne was the daughter of Thomas and Lena Mymo Fogarty. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy in Pennsylvania in 1965 and went on to work at Packard Electric, where she dedicated 30 years of her life before retiring.
Being a faithful member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles, Mary Jayne found joy in volunteering and cherishing time with friends during the Our Lady of Mount Carmel festival. She was known for her generosity, kindness, and loving nature, and she was adored by her family and friends.
Mary Jayne is survived by her daughter, Christy Mundo Brennan, her son-in-law, Chris Brennan, and her grandchildren, Rowan and Hayden. Her lifelong friend, Laraine Bradley, shared a special bond with Mary Jayne.
Sadly, Mary Jayne was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, in 2012.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, located at 381 Robbins Ave., Niles.
Following the ceremony, a private urn burial will be held at a later date in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta.
