He’s the suspected criminal top detectives have been trying to trace for years. But over four years after his mugshot was added to West Midlands Police’s (WMP) most wanted list, they are seemingly no closer to knowing where he is.
The man in question is Santosh White. He has been wanted by WMP since November 2019 and he is now the longest-serving member of their most wanted list which can be openly viewed by the public.
Mugshots are added to this rogues’ gallery when detectives need the public’s help finding a suspect. Often, they will be removed after a few weeks or months when the alleged crook has been located.
But in the case of White, he has remained on it ever since as detectives have been left scratching their heads as to his whereabouts. The force has given little away about the suspect, who was 30 back in November 2019, making him 34 or 35 now.
His picture has been viewed over 138,000 times on the WMP website but officers are still apparently none the wiser. WMP has only said that White is wanted on recall to prison.

According to Detective Inspector Laura Harrison, the officer leading the investigation into White’s whereabouts, Despite numerous appeals and considerable efforts, Santosh White continues to evade capture. We are actively looking for him but we need the public’s help.
DI Harrison urged anyone with any information, no matter how small, to come forward. She emphasized, Even the smallest piece of information could be crucial in our search for White.
