Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): In a tragic incident, a class 10 student was crushed to death while her father and friend are in critical condition after a car driver negligently opened the door, causing their two-wheeler to ram into it on Saturday morning.
The girl, identified as Mabia (15), was on her way to school with her father, Shareef, when the accident occurred near Moti Masjid in Budhwara. As they passed by a car, the driver carelessly opened the door, causing all three of them to fall to the ground. Mabia fell a little apart from her father and friend.
Tragically, a dumper belonging to the Bhopal Municipal Corporation was approaching them from the rear and mowed down Mabia on the spot, leading to her untimely death. The car driver fled the scene, leaving Shareef and Mabia’s friend injured. Shareef is currently in critical condition, while Mabia’s friend slipped into a coma.
We are deeply saddened by this unfortunate incident. The dumper driver has been taken into custody for questioning, and we are reviewing CCTV footage to gather more information about what transpired, stated CB Rathore, the officer in charge of Budhwara police station.
