Two South Texas School Districts Finalists For H-E-B Awards
Two South Texas school districts have emerged as finalists in the prestigious 22nd annual H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards. Sharyland and Donna ISD school boards have been recognized among the top five in the Outstanding School Board category. Donna school district is also a finalist in the Early Childhood Education Facilities category.
The honor of reaching the finals has secured each school district a grant of $5,000. They now have a chance to claim the top prize of $25,000 in each respective category.

The H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards, established in 2002, aim to honor public school professionals who go above and beyond to enrich the lives of Texas students. Considered as one of the largest monetary programs of its kind in the state, the awards celebrate districts, schools, and educators who exhibit exemplary performance and commitment.
With the inclusion of Donna ISD in the Early Childhood Education Facilities category, the school district has garnered praise for its dedication to fostering a supportive and conducive learning environment for young children.
