Federal Grand Jury Indicts 82 in Multi-State Drug Trafficking Bust, US

A massive drug trafficking operation spanning three states has been exposed as an 82-person indictment was unsealed by a federal grand jury. The charges include individuals from Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia, who are accused of involvement in the distribution of drugs. One of the main suspects, Gary Bernard Brown Jr., 38, from Baltimore, Maryland, is alleged to have supplied large quantities of fentanyl capsules and powder for redistribution in Berkeley and Jefferson Counties. The investigation resulted in the seizure of 10 kilograms of cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, firearms, and hundreds of thousands of dollars in assets. Eleven defendants are still at-large, most of whom are based in West Virginia. Multiple law enforcement agencies collaborated on the investigation, which was part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation. The FBI-Pittsburgh Division expressed satisfaction with the operation, stating that it aimed to protect communities from the dangers of illegal narcotics. The names of the at-large defendants were provided to the public in the hopes that they will be located and apprehended promptly, ensuring justice is served.
