Sammy acknowledged the challenge posed by the new ball but demanded greater aggression in the team’s approach. West Indies went on to post 297 thanks to half-centuries from Shai Hope and Johnson Charles, before claiming a 39-run win over the USA. Despite expressing satisfaction at the contributions of all his batsmen, Sammy said they would ideally be seeking more hundreds from the top order. West Indies’ next game is against Nepal, who won their opening fixture against the UAE.
