Several charges, including murder, have been laid against 47-year-old Nigel Bailey, otherwise called ‘Mad Ras’, who was captured in St Catherine last week. Bailey, of Bickersteth, St James, has been charged in relation to two murders that occurred in St James. The first murder took place on October 24 and involved the killing of 41-year-old chef Owen Morris. The second incident occurred on December 10 and involved the death of 42-year-old Kemar Henry, also known as ‘Brukky’ and ‘Diamonds’. In both cases, Bailey and his accomplices allegedly opened fire on the victims before fleeing the scenes. The police were alerted, and both victims were pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. Bailey was finally apprehended during a police operation in Kitson Town, St Catherine, on January 4 and has since been charged accordingly. His court dates are currently being arranged.
