Men in Ann Arbor now have a one-stop shop for all their grooming and retail needs with the opening of House of Him. Located at 2333 W. Stadium Blvd., this new business offers a range of services including haircuts, beard trimmings, facials, and a wide selection of clothing for both casual and work attire. Owner Kimberly Clay emphasizes the importance of serving the male community, stating, Every man is connected to a family, a place of work, mentors and friends so if we serve them well then we believe that we’re helping to empower our community.

House of Him aims to provide a comfortable and convenient experience for men, offering products for hair care, beard care, skin care, and a clothing line under their own brand. After careful research and understanding of customer preferences, Clay and her team have created a space where men feel tailored to and safe to explore their needs. Clay explains, We found that if there was a space where (men) feel tailored to and feel safe that young men and older men just tend to open up and be able to find what they need in a really easy way.

This new location in Ann Arbor marks the second store for House of Him, following the successful opening of their first shop in Ohio in 2021. The idea for the brand originated in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic when the need for a space where men could feel refreshed and empowered became evident. Clay shares, We saw a need, especially in a time where people were a little more isolated and disconnected. There’s a need for men to have a space they can go to be refreshed and empowered.

Beyond providing grooming and retail services, House of Him plans to create a social club experience for men. Regular events such as bourbon tastings will offer opportunities for connection and networking among male clientele. Clay hopes to collaborate with other local businesses to organize these events in the future, fostering a sense of community among men in the area. The first free social club event is expected to take place in March.

Kimberly Clay, who lives within walking distance of the new House of Him location, expresses gratitude for the warm welcome from the Ann Arbor community. She looks forward to not only providing a fulfilling career for her employees but also creating a space that men can truly love. We have experienced nothing but welcoming people and we are seeing new clients every single day, says Clay. Everyone has just shown such love and support, and that’s really why we’re here.

Men in Ann Arbor can now look forward to an all-encompassing destination for their grooming and retail needs with the opening of House of Him. From haircuts and beard trimmings to clothing options for various occasions, this new establishment aims to empower the male community by offering a tailored and safe space. With its dedication to understanding customer preferences and fostering a sense of community through social club events, House of Him is set to become a go-to destination for men in Ann Arbor and beyond.
