Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), January 21 (ANI): Bollywood actor Shefali Shah arrived in Lucknow today to attend the much-anticipated Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ayodhya’s Ram Temple on January 22. As paparazzi swarmed around her at the airport, Shah expressed her deep honor in being present at what she emphasized as one of the biggest cultural moments for both the nation and its citizens. The acclaimed actor went on to extol the richness of Indian culture, acknowledging that despite being Indians, many of us remain unaware of its true depth.
Shah, known for her remarkable performances in an array of roles, donned a black outfit for her travel attire, accentuated by a saffron shawl and a laptop bag. She has captivated audiences with her on-screen presence and impeccable acting skills in movies such as ‘Jalsa’, ‘Human’, ‘Darlings’, and ‘Doctor G’, among others.
Meanwhile, the auspicious Vedic rituals for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony commenced on January 16th, a week ahead of the main event. The idol of Shri Ram Lalla, intricately carved by renowned sculptor Arun Yogiraj from Mysuru, was placed inside the sanctum sanctorum of the temple on Thursday, January 19. During the placement ceremony, the veil was finally lifted, unveiling the first photo of the idol.
The grandeur of the upcoming ceremony is expected to attract dignitaries and individuals from various walks of life. Chief priest Lakshmi Kant Dixit from Varanasi will officiate the main rituals of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself will partake in performing the rituals.
