The Humane Society of Central Illinois has announced the hiring of a new executive director and two operations managers. Nicole Watts, an experienced veterinary professional, will serve as the society’s director. The nonprofit organization stated that Watts’ extensive knowledge and skills make her well-suited to lead the organization. In addition to her expertise, Watts’ compassionate nature and dedication to animal welfare set her apart as the ideal candidate for the role.
Mandy Hawker will also be joining the Humane Society of Central Illinois as an operations manager. Hawker, a certified dog obedience instructor, previously worked at the nonprofit but took a break for several years. She brings valuable experience in animal behavior and will oversee adoptions, animal enrichment, and the volunteer program.
Joining Watts and Hawker is Tanya Osterman, who will also take on the role of operations manager. Osterman, a veterinary technician with years of experience, will be responsible for animal care tasks such as intake and rehabilitation.
The Humane Society of Central Illinois expressed enthusiasm for the new hires and their combined expertise in veterinary medicine and animal welfare. With their collective skills and dedication, the organization hopes to continue providing a voice for animals in need.
These additions to the Humane Society of Central Illinois’ leadership team will enable the organization to further its mission of promoting animal welfare, adoption, and advocacy.
