Hyderabad, Jan 19 – In a major boost to India’s civil aviation industry, Akasa Air, the country’s youngest airline, has placed an order for 150 Boeing 737 MAX jets, marking one of the largest aircraft orders in the history of Indian aviation. The order was announced at the Wings India air show in Hyderabad and signifies Akasa Air’s ambition to expand its domestic and international operations.
Akasa Air is the first Indian airline to amass an order book of over 200 aircraft in just 17 months since commencing operations.
