CES Connects Croatian Startups With Huge Global Names – Total Croatia

January the 16th, 2024 – CES, the most powerful tech event in the world, has facilitated connections between Croatian startups and huge global names such as Amazon, Google and more.

The iconic CES, known for its consumer electronics and industry innovation fair, began earlier this month. Acting as a testing ground for revolutionary technologies and global innovators, this year’s event welcomed exhibitors, investors, and ordinary visitors.

Usually held in Las Vegas, CES gathers the global techno elite and those aspiring to be part of the tech revolution. The event offers valuable insights into rapidly evolving technological trends. Eureka Park, the section dedicated to startups, holds particular interest for the Croatian representatives. This year witnessed a record-breaking number of 1,400 startups participating.

Securing an exhibitor’s place at CES is no easy feat. For years, Croatian startups have earned their spots by winning the Croatian competition for tech ideas, Idea Knockout, organized by Bug magazine.

The coveted prize is a booth at CES, and Bug’s executive editor, Dragan Petric, has been attending and reporting from CES for fifteen consecutive years. The recent winner of Idea Knockout, Ani Biome, stood out as a Croatian startup focused on producing personalized microbeverages for improving intestinal health. Harnessing the power of AI algorithms, Ani Biome aims to prolong healthy human life.

Alongside Ani Biome, DotYourSpot X YellowDot representatives were also present in Vegas. They claimed the third-place spot in the 2023 Idea Knockout competition and garnered significant attention, explained Dragan Petric. He continued, CircuitMess by Albert GajÅ¡ak was also there, showcasing an impressive range of STEM devices designed to inspire young people to acquire technological skills through play. It was Albert GajÅ¡ak’s second appearance at CES, following his victory in Idea Knockout five years ago.

According to Petric, all three Croatian startups experienced unexpected success and established connections with giants like Google, Amazon, Best Buy, and many other leading American companies.

CES annually provides a comprehensive glimpse into the future of technological trends. This year’s event surpassed expectations in terms of scale, impressiveness, and usefulness.

Unsurprisingly, artificial intelligence dominated the conversation, with over half the companies incorporating AI into their presentations. Longevity-related technologies, focused on extending and enhancing human life, also took center stage. Additionally, digitization in the food industry emerged as a prominent theme.

Ani Biome and DotYourSpot X YellowDot, both Croatian startups, perfectly align with these prevailing trends.
