A child has been left with serious injuries after being hit by a bus on a main road in Stockport. The incident occurred on the A6 (Buxton Road) near St George’s Primary School on Monday afternoon. Emergency services, including an air ambulance, responded to the scene shortly after 3pm. The child, whose age has not been confirmed, was treated by paramedics before being transported to the hospital. The driver of the bus remained at the scene to assist with the investigation. The road was closed for several hours but has since reopened. Residents in the area expressed their concern and hope for the child’s recovery. The North West Ambulance Service confirmed that immediate care was provided at the scene before the child was taken to the hospital. Greater Manchester Police are conducting further inquiries into the incident.
