Orlando Pirates Football Club is gearing up for a busy transfer window not only in terms of signing players, but also allowing some to leave. The team is in need of a striker, even though they already have several in their squad.
One player who has not lived up to expectations and was thought to be surplus to requirements is Bienvenu Eva Nga. However, recent reports suggest that Pirates were considering keeping him, but it looks like this will not be the case.
According to Soccer-Laduma, Supersport United are monitoring Eva Nga’s situation as they look for a new striker for their team. Eva Nga, who hails from Cameroon, has been in South Africa’s top league since January 2020, when he was brought in by former Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt. After playing for Chippa United, he eventually moved to Pirates, but now it seems like he may be moving again.
Sources suggest that Chippa United may also be interested in bringing Eva Nga back to their team as they search for new players. As it stands, it would benefit both Pirates and Eva Nga for him to move on, as Pirates require new strikers, and Eva Nga is unlikely to play a major role in the upcoming season.
Despite initial interest from Kaizer Chiefs, his destination may now be either Supersport United or Chippa United. Pirates will likely look to sell him to help finance their other transfer dealings.
