A special IndiGo flight, transporting Congress leaders for the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, including Rahul Gandhi, was delayed on Sunday morning due to foggy conditions at Delhi Airport. As a result, the Congress leaders, who had not yet boarded the flight, were left waiting in the airport lounge. The yatra, a national mass movement led by Rahul Gandhi, is set to cover over 6,700 kilometers across 110 districts in 15 states.

The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, scheduled to start at noon, will commence with a floral tribute at the Khongjom War Memorial in Manipur’s Thoubal. The yatra aims to interact with various sections of society, including farmers, laborers, Dalits, tribals, women, ex-servicemen, and more, seeking social, economic, and political justice for all.

Before their departure from Delhi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge expressed the party’s determination to reach every household and ensure justice for the people. Kharge emphasized the need to address real issues such as unemployment, inflation, national security, and women’s rights, which have been overshadowed by distractions.

The launch of the Bharat Jodo Yatra has drawn attention and support from politicians across the country. Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar expressed hope for a united nation and significant change, while Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and other Congress leaders highlighted the importance of seeking justice and addressing the challenges faced by the people.

The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra follows Rahul Gandhi’s successful Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir last year. With the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024, the yatra holds significance for the Congress party as it aims to connect with the masses and address their concerns regarding social, economic, and political injustices.

In summary, the delayed departure of Rahul Gandhi’s flight due to fog at Delhi Airport has temporarily paused the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. The yatra, aimed at seeking justice for various sections of society, will cover significant distances across multiple states, highlighting the Congress party’s commitment to addressing real issues faced by the people of India.
