A man from Newport has been sentenced to a total of 34 months in a young offender institution for a range of offenses, including sending private sexual images and films to his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend and his father. Kade Wren, aged 20, was also found guilty of selling class A drugs on the streets of the city. The court heard that Wren was apprehended during a suspected drug deal in November, where police discovered multiple wraps and bags of heroin, crack cocaine, and cannabis, with a potential street value of over £1,000. During his arrest, Wren became aggressive and caused damage to police property. This is not the defendant’s first encounter with the law, as he had previous convictions for vehicle theft and battery. The judge described Wren’s actions as an act of cruel revenge, causing significant distress, embarrassment, and humiliation to his victim.
