France to Strengthen Ukraine’s Ability to Produce Weapons on Its Soil – FM
French Foreign Minister Stephane Sejourne has pledged to enhance Ukraine’s weapon production capabilities on its own soil during a joint briefing with Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba in Kyiv. Sejourne emphasized France’s unwavering support for Ukraine and stated that French technology would be supplied to aid in the protection of Ukrainian land. The assistance will include the provision of weapons systems, ammunition, air defense assets, and artillery. France aims to jointly strengthen Ukraine’s ability to produce weapons domestically and expressed readiness to offer further help in this area. Sejourne also highlighted France’s commitment to supporting Ukraine’s resistance against aggression and improving the legal framework for defense cooperation.
Additionally, Sejourne stressed the importance of civil cooperation with Ukraine. He specifically mentioned collaboration in healthcare, demining, specialist training, and education. The French minister also called on French companies to contribute to Ukraine’s energy, communication, and water supply sectors. Sejourne’s visit to Kyiv took place on Saturday, January 13.
