AUSTIN, Tex. – NetRise, a firmware security company, has been awarded a $110,000 STTR Phase 1 grant to conduct a security study aimed at addressing the cybersecurity challenges faced by the Department of the Air Force (DAF). The grant will allow NetRise to focus on identifying and managing the risk in firmware and software of connected devices, with the goal of providing effective solutions.
NetRise specializes in providing visibility into the security challenges of the Extended Internet of Things (XIoT) by examining the modern firmware and software component security issues of various cyber-physical systems, including IT, OT, IoT, and other connected devices.
