China emerged as the largest export market for the state, with exports reaching 3.2 billion AUD (2.14 billion USD) – 17.8 percent of the total figure. This represents a significant 46 percent increase from the previous year. South Australian barley exports to China also experienced substantial growth, reaching 218 million AUD (146.1 million USD) in the year to November 2023. The significant boost in trade highlights the strong economic ties between South Australia and China.
