AlphaGen, a subsidiary of ArcLight Capital Partners LLC, has been established to oversee the management of one of the largest power infrastructure portfolios in the United States, generating approximately $2 billion in annual revenue. The power infrastructure portfolio managed by AlphaGen encompasses strategically located assets that supply critical power to key demand centers, including the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

With oversight of more than 13,000 megawatts of power infrastructure across four regional transmission organization markets, including PJM, NYISO, ISONE, and CAISO, AlphaGen is responsible for managing Eastern Generation, Generation Bridge, Parkway Generation, and various other ArcLight investments. This move solidifies ArcLight’s prominent position as a seasoned power infrastructure investor.

Leading the team at AlphaGen is Curt Morgan, an industry veteran who will assume the roles of CEO and chairman effective May 1. Morgan, formerly the CEO of Vistra, facilitated the company’s transformation into a major participant in power generation and retail, positioning them as leaders in the energy transition. As a senior adviser to ArcLight, he is well-equipped to drive value, manage risk, and capitalize on investment opportunities within AlphaGen’s extensive portfolio.

Mark Sudbey will serve as interim CEO until Morgan assumes his position, while Mary Anne Brelinsky will join as the president and COO, rounding out the top-level leadership team at AlphaGen.

By leveraging their extensive experience in the power infrastructure sector, AlphaGen aims to meet the growing demand for safe, reliable, and critical power. As demand continues to increase due to factors such as electrification, data center growth, and AI advancements, AlphaGen recognizes the long-term significance of power infrastructure and aims to maximize value and operational efficiency.

With a focus on delivering accurate and relevant news, we strive to provide you with the latest updates on significant developments within the power sector. Stay tuned for more news and insights from AlphaGen as they navigate the dynamic landscape of the power infrastructure industry.
