Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) [India], January 11 (ANI): The Uttar Pradesh government, under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is set to launch a statewide cleanliness campaign ahead of the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The campaign will commence from Makar Sankranti on January 14 and will continue for nine days, leading up to the Lord Ram Pran Pratishtha ceremony on January 22.

The responsibility for the cleanliness campaign has been entrusted to the Urban Development and Panchayati Raj Departments. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will personally lead the campaign, which will be carried out in every village, city, and locality across the state.

State Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra has issued instructions to the Urban Development Department and Panchayati Raj Department regarding the upcoming inauguration of the Ram Temple.

The comprehensive cleanliness campaign will cover all aspects, including the cleaning of roads, drains, and drainage systems. A team of sanitation workers, consisting of 3,800 old members and 1,500 new members, will be deployed for this purpose.

Additionally, the Department of Food and Civil Supplies will ensure regular inspection and cleanliness of all toilets at petrol pumps and along the green corridors in Ayodhya.

The Irrigation Department has been tasked with maintaining cleanliness at Ram Ki Paidi by constructing a barrier on the river for 1.37 km at Naya Ghat.

Special attention will be given to the roads leading to Ayodhya from Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, and Varanasi. These routes will be transformed into green corridors, with hoardings featuring verses from Ramcharitmanas placed along the way.

To create a festive atmosphere, all government buildings, schools, and colleges in the state will be decorated. Offices across the state are also instructed to adorn colourful decorations and lights from January 22 to 26.

Commenting on the preparations, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his excitement about the upcoming ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony and the potential of the Ayodhya airport. He mentioned that about 100 chartered planes are expected to land at the Ayodhya airport on January 22 for the ceremony.

The cleanliness campaign and the extensive preparations reflect the significance and grandeur of the upcoming Ram Temple inauguration. With the Uttar Pradesh government’s commitment to making Ayodhya spick and span, the city is all set to welcome devotees and dignitaries from around the world to witness this historic event.
