Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke is set to grace Sofia with his rock band The Smile for a highly anticipated concert on June 18, 2024. The performance will take place at Arena Sofia, also known as Velodrome Serdika, located in Prince Boris’ Garden. The concert is part of the Sofia Solid series, presented by Fest Team promotion company.
Comprising Thom Yorke (vocals, guitar, bass, keys) and Jonny Greenwood (guitar, bass, keys) from the renowned English group Radiohead, along with Tom Skinner (drums) from Sons of Kemet, The Smile has garnered attention for their post-punk energy and Afrobeat sound. The band emerged in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, fueled by fresh ideas from the exceptional artistic duo Yorke/Greenwood, who attracted Skinner to join their innovative project.
