The Congress chief of Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, has said that there is an ongoing re-alignment of anti-KCR forces ahead of the state’s Assembly elections. As part of the initiative, Reddy has been inviting several leaders to join the Congress, including former minister Jupally Krishna Rao and ex-MP Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, who were recently suspended from the ruling Bhaarat Rashtra Samithi for anti-party activities. Both Krishna Rao and Srinivasa Reddy met with Reddy and other senior leaders on Wednesday and were invited to join the party. The two will meet Rahul Gandhi in Delhi on 25 June, and are expected to announce their decision to join the Congress at a press conference the following day. Several other leaders are also likely to join the Congress ahead of the Assembly polls.
