The Union Railways has approved Rs 4.45 crore for the final survey of new railway lines between Mandsaur-Suwasara and Mandsaur-Banswara railway stations in Madhya Pradesh. The Centre has released two orders worth Rs 1.62 crore and Rs 3 crore for the new railway routes, with a combined length of 185 km, to enhance the mobility of common people and reduce traffic on main railway lines. Local MP Sudhir Gupta has been advocating for new railway lines between the two stations, and the approval of the final survey will connect three states – Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Rajasthan. The new line is expected to bring development to tribal-dominated areas such as Banswara, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, Mandsaur, and Neemuch. MP CP Joshi and MP Sudhir Gupta have expressed their gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav for approving the final survey of the new railway lines.
