LAS VEGAS — SK Group’s Disneyland-inspired booth at CES 2024 visualizes a future net-zero society. Dubbed SK Wonderland, the booth is a joint work from seven SK companies — SK Inc., SK Innovation, SK Telecom, SK E&S, SK Ecoplant, SK hynix, and SKC — showcasing their latest technology in carbon reduction and AI.
In the previous two years of our participation in CES, we focused on persuading the visitors on why we should achieve net-zero, said Kim Dong-hyun, vice president of SK USA. This year’s booth is like an ending to that story, showing how ‘happy’ we will be when a sustainable society is achieved.
One section of the booth features an AI-powered fortune teller that utilizes SK hynix’s latest HBM3E chips. Another highlight is SK E&C’s hydrogen-powered train ride. The goal is to create an immersive experience that elicits the same emotions one feels when a dream materializes in reality.
SK’s participation in CES reflects its commitment to the U.S. market. Kim stated, SK’s commitment to the United States goes well beyond AI and batteries, but also covers hydrogen, renewable energy, and more. The company has seen a significant increase in inbound requests from financial investors over the years.
Regarding the upcoming U.S. presidential election, which has implications for SK’s U.S. business and subsidy plans, Kim mentioned that the company is preparing scenarios based on potential policy changes.
In addition to SK Wonderland, SK has set up the SK ICT Family Demo Room, where SK Telecom and SK hynix showcase their latest AI-related technology.
With their visionary exhibit at CES 2024, SK Group aims to inspire and promote the realization of a net-zero society. By emphasizing their commitment to sustainable solutions and expanding their presence in the U.S., SK is positioning itself as a leading player in the global push for a greener future.
