Kyrgyzstan has stable coronavirus situation, Health Ministry says

Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Health has announced that the country is currently experiencing a stable situation regarding COVID-19. According to the ministry, only 2 to 6 cases are being reported each week, with the majority of those hospitalized with respiratory infections being tested for the virus. In the last week, only one case tested positive.

Since March 2021 to December 2023, Kyrgyzstan has received a total of 6.889 million doses of coronavirus vaccines. These include 1,548,780 doses which were obtained through the COVAX initiative, 2,780,200 doses donated by other countries, and 2,560,800 doses of the Sinopharm vaccine that were purchased.

The vaccines that have been received have been used between 2021 and 2022, with information about the vaccinated individuals being recorded in the register of vaccinations against coronavirus infection. Over 3.2 million entries have been made in the system, resulting in the creation of more than 1.5 million vaccination certificates.

Remarkably, 76% of the target population in Kyrgyzstan has received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine, totaling to 1,700,833 people. In total, 4,700,439 doses of coronavirus vaccines have been administered throughout the country.

Since the start of the pandemic, Kyrgyzstan has recorded over 206,000 COVID-19 cases. However, in 2023, only 491 cases have been registered so far.

The stable situation in Kyrgyzstan brings hope for controlling the virus and preventing its further spread. The high percentage of vaccinated individuals indicates a proactive approach towards combating the pandemic within the country.

As the country continues to navigate through the pandemic, it is essential for the authorities to remain vigilant and closely monitor the situation. Vaccination efforts should be continued to ensure that the entire population receives protection against the virus.

The stable COVID-19 situation in Kyrgyzstan serves as a positive example for other countries, demonstrating the importance of robust vaccination campaigns and ongoing testing. By prioritizing the health and safety of its citizens, Kyrgyzstan is taking significant steps towards overcoming the challenges posed by the pandemic.

It is crucial for individuals to continue following health guidelines, such as wearing masks, practicing good hand hygiene, and maintaining social distancing. By collectively adhering to these measures, we can all contribute to the overall stability and recovery from the pandemic.

In conclusion, Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Health has reported a stable coronavirus situation in the country, with a low number of weekly cases and a significant percentage of the population vaccinated. These achievements highlight the importance of proactive measures and international cooperation in tackling the ongoing pandemic.
