A leopard responsible for the fatal attacks on a woman and a child in Tamil Nadu has been captured by Forest department personnel. The elusive animal was tranquilised in Elamanna village and taken away in a cage to a shelter. Chief Minister M K Stalin expressed his condolences to the victim’s families and announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh each. The captured leopard, a four-year-old male, will be relocated to a suitable dense forest area in the Nilgiris district. The forest officials used tranquiliser darts and camera drones to track and immobilise the animal.
