Multiple free legal clinics will be available for Moffat County residents in 2024. Colorado Legal Services is offering a range of clinics to provide free legal assistance to seniors, low-income individuals, and others in need. One of the clinics, called the Call4All Legal Advice Clinic, will take place on the third Wednesday of every month from 5-7:30 p.m. This clinic provides an opportunity for callers to receive one-on-one attorney advice in several areas, including family law, landlord/tenant law, consumer/collection, small claims, and civil protection orders.
The first clinic in this Wednesday series is scheduled for January 17th, with subsequent clinics following on a monthly basis. It’s important to note that there will be no clinic in December for the 2024 Wednesday series. Another vital resource offered by Colorado Legal Services is the Call-In Legal Advice Clinics, which will occur on the first Thursday of each month from 4:30-6 p.m. Individuals can seek guidance by contacting 800-521-6968 during these designated clinic hours. The next Thursday clinic is set for February 1st, and it’s important to be aware that there will be no clinic in July for the 2024 Thursday series.
In addition to these scheduled clinics, Moffat County residents can also benefit from free legal assistance through the Virtual Pro Se Clinic (VPC) program. Taking place on the third Monday of every month, starting March 18th from 2-5 p.m., these virtual clinics offer the opportunity for individuals to connect with volunteer attorneys who can answer questions, assist with form completion, and provide guidance on a range of civil legal issues. The topics covered include family law, civil litigation, property law, probate law, collections, appeals, landlord-tenant law, veterans’ benefits, and civil protection orders.
