The deaths of an Indian-origin family in Massachusetts have been confirmed as a murder-suicide following an autopsy conducted by medical authorities. Rakesh Kamal, 57, Teena Kamal, 54, and their daughter Arianna Kamal, 18, were found dead in their $5 million mansion on December 28. The autopsy results revealed that Teena and Arianna were victims of homicide by gunshot, while Rakesh died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. A firearm, believed to be a.40 caliber Glock 22, was discovered near Rakesh, but it was not registered in his name, and he did not have a license to possess it. The investigation does not indicate any involvement from outside parties, as it is currently being treated as a case of domestic violence. The Massachusetts State Police have reached out to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives for assistance in determining the origin of the firearm. The incident remains under investigation.
