Seabridge Gold has announced the appointment of Ryan Hoel as its new president and chief operating officer. Hoel, who joined the Canadian mining company in September 2021 as vice president of projects, brings extensive industry experience and expertise to his new role.

In his previous position, Hoel led activities at Seabridge’s Kerr-Sulphurets-Mitchell project in northern British Columbia. His strong leadership skills and strategic approach have been instrumental in advancing the project and driving its success. Recognizing his contributions, Hoel was promoted to senior vice president and chief operating officer in August 2022.

Commenting on the appointment, Hoel expressed his excitement for his new role and outlined his vision for Seabridge Gold’s future. He emphasized the importance of maximizing the potential of the company’s gold projects and delivering value to shareholders. Hoel’s extensive knowledge of the mining industry and his understanding of Seabridge’s operations position him well to lead the company forward.

Seabridge Gold also announced the appointment of Tracey Meintjes as the new senior vice president of technical services, succeeding Peter Williams, who is retiring. Meintjes, who has previously worked with prominent mining companies such as Anglo American, Anglo Gold, and Rio Tinto, joined Seabridge in October 2021 as vice president of engineering studies. Her vast experience in engineering and technical services will contribute significantly to Seabridge’s growth and development.

Seabridge Gold owns and operates a portfolio of North American gold projects, including the KSM and Iskut projects located near Stewart, British Columbia, the Courageous Lake project in Canada’s Northwest Territories, and the Snowstorm project in the Getchell Gold Belt of Northern Nevada. These projects present tremendous opportunities for Seabridge Gold to further expand its presence in the gold mining industry.

The appointments of Ryan Hoel and Tracey Meintjes come at a crucial time for Seabridge Gold as the company seeks to capitalize on the substantial growth potential within the sector. With their extensive experience and expertise, Hoel and Meintjes are well-equipped to drive Seabridge’s operations, enhance efficiency, and achieve long-term success.

Seabridge Gold continues to focus on responsible mining practices, environmental stewardship, and creating value for all stakeholders. The company’s commitment to sustainable and ethical mining aligns with the evolving expectations of investors and communities.

As Seabridge Gold embarks on this new chapter under the leadership of Ryan Hoel, investors and industry observers eagerly anticipate the company’s future growth and success. With a strong leadership team in place and a diversified portfolio of gold projects, Seabridge Gold is well-positioned to navigate the ever-changing dynamics of the mining industry and create value for its shareholders.
