A unit within GDMS Business Progeny Systems has secured a potential five-year, $108.9 million contract from the US Navy to provide information assurance and reliability monitoring system software builds for the service branch’s submarines. The cost-plus-fixed-fee contract awarded to Progeny Systems has a one-year base period and a base amount of approximately $20.4 million. Work will occur in Virginia and Rhode Island and is expected to conclude in December 2024 and could run through December 2028 if options are exercised. Naval Sea Systems Command is obligating $1 million using the service’s fiscal 2024 other procurement funds and $150,000 in fiscal 2024 research, development, test, and evaluation funds.
