As preparations for the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya are in full swing, BJP MLA Yashpal Suvarna has written to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, urging him to declare January 22 as a holiday. The consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple, to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other prominent figures, is scheduled to take place on January 22.
Suvarna’s letter emphasizes the significance of the occasion and the need to allow people, especially the youth, to participate in various religious events, puja, and bhajan programs. He highlights that India is a Hindu nation with a substantial population of Hindus in Karnataka. Suvarna urges the Chief Minister not to disregard the sentiments of the people and to grant the requested holiday. Should Siddaramaiah fail to do so, local arrangements would have to be made.
In anticipation of the consecration ceremony and Prime Minister Modi’s visit, the Shri Ram Mandir Construction Committee Chairman, Nripendra Misra, inspected the ongoing construction work on the Ram Janmabhoomi Path and the temple complex. Misra assured that the construction work is being conducted with utmost care and quality, investing enough time into each aspect.
The consecration ceremony will span seven days, beginning on January 16, culminating on January 22 with the consecration of the deity of Ram Lala in the afternoon after the morning puja.
