Regenerative Agriculture’ topic of LWV Lunch & Learn Thursday
Have you ever wondered if there was an approach to agriculture that was better for the farmer, the planet, and society? The January League of Women Voters Lunch & Learn will take on the challenge of Regenerative Agriculture with speakers Tom Hoegemeyer and David Meyer representing the Nebraska Soil Health Coalition.
Regenerative agriculture is a way of farming with nature that increases soil and environmental health, which is gaining momentum and adoption across the United States and the world. Both speakers were raised on Nebraska farms and have advanced degrees in the agriculture sector.
The event will be on Thursday, Jan. 4, from noon-1 p.m. and is free and open to the public throughout Nebraska via Zoom. Membership is not required.
For over 100 years, the League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, has encouraged informed and active participation in government, worked to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influenced public policy through education and advocacy. Membership is open to all. For more information, go to www.lincolnleague.org.
