Haveri (Karnataka) [India], December 28: Four people, including three school students, were critically injured when a speeding car collided with a school bus in Karnataka’s Haveri district on Thursday. The incident occurred near Bevinahalli Cross in Savanur Taluk. The impact of the collision caused the KSRTC bus, which was carrying school students on a trip, to overturn. The bus driver, identified as Malappa Hosur, sustained a fractured spine, according to officials. The injured students were identified as Vivya Sajjanagudda, Savitharavi Reddy, and Guruna Gowda from Raichur District Lingasura Taluq Senior Primary School in Sajjalagudda. A total of 53 students and six teachers were on board the bus belonging to North East Karnataka Transport Corporation. They were heading to Gotagodi Rock Garden for an excursion trip. The injured individuals were immediately shifted to Savanur Taluk Hospital by the police, who arrived at the scene promptly. The critically injured driver and students were later transferred to Hubli Kims. Further updates on the incident are awaited.
