Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzales confirmed the incident, stating that the man who discharged the weapon claimed self-defense, fearing his stepbrother would attack him first. The altercation initially centered around a car battery at a residence on Live Oak Drive around 9 p.m. The injured stepbrother was promptly airlifted to the hospital, where his current condition remains unknown. Authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
