Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has urged people to elect all 80 Members of Parliament from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2024 elections to ensure the country’s continued progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Speaking at the inauguration of 727 development projects worth Rs 2,604 crore, Adityanath praised Modi for his unwavering commitment to service, good governance, and welfare for the poor and needy, without discrimination based on religion or caste. Adityanath highlighted the progress India has made under the Modi government, including the country’s emergence as the fifth-largest economy in the world and its leadership role globally. He stressed the importance of nationalism and securing India’s borders as a priority for continued development. The projects inaugurated include drinking water, road expansion, strengthening embankments, and building schools and hostels. Adityanath emphasized the government’s commitment to transparency in delivering welfare schemes to people and cited the success of programs such as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, which provided Rs 1.20 lakh for each house and Rs 12,000 for each toilet, and the Jan Dhan Yojana, which has opened 48 crore accounts nationwide. Adityanath also gave credit to Modi for making India’s International Yoga Day event a global success and for providing free vaccines, tests, and treatment facilities to people during the coronavirus pandemic.
