JK Lakshmipat University organized a blood donation camp on June 20, 2023, in honor of the late visionary industrialist and philanthropist, Shri Hari Shankar Singhania. The event took place at the healthcare center on the university campus and was organized in memory of the Late Chairman Shri HS Singhania, who holds great significance.
The blood donation camp served as a fitting tribute to the 90th birth anniversary of Hari Shankar Singhania, a prominent figure in the business and social welfare domains. JKLU collected a record-breaking 59 units of blood from all groups of people. The aim of the camp was to promote a culture of voluntary blood donation from an early age and educate students about the importance and benefits of blood donation. Activities like these instill values of giving and helping others and foster a sense of social responsibility and empathy towards others, said Dr. Dheeraj Sanghi, VC, JK Lakshmipat University.
The event was open to all students, faculties, staff, the teaching and non-teaching, security, and transport personnel and the local community. The event adhered to all necessary health and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of donors and organizers.
