Customers eating a Christmas Eve meal cowered under tables after a gun-toting man burst into a restaurant before a deadly ‘gangland’ attack. Reports suggest that a man burst into a steakhouse in Blanchardstown, Dublin, with a ‘high velocity weapon’ before being fatally overpowered.
In shocking clips seen by witnesses, patrons can be heard screaming as they react to the incident yesterday evening (December 24), with one person describing it as a man being whacked. In another clip, a man can be seen laying lifeless on the bloodied ground as emergency services stand over him.
Two men were rushed to nearby Connolly Hospital in the Irish capital. Sadly, one man, aged in his 20s, was pronounced dead a short time later. The other man, aged in his 40s, suffered gunshot wounds, reportedly to his neck, and is in a serious condition.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident, and one possible motive being explored is a link to an ongoing drug war called the Corduff Feud. This feud has witnessed a staggering number of incidents from January 2019 to May 2022, including arson, a shooting outside a school, beatings, and online threats.
Two suspects in the case fled the scene in a white Audi car, according to witnesses.
