Forty veterans and their families were treated to a heartwarming Christmas lunch as part of a special initiative organized by Veterans Central. The event took place on December 10 at the West Raynham SHQ building, where the veterans were greeted with festive decorations and the joyful sounds of Christmas music.
Everyone in attendance, from a 99-year-old ex-lifeguard with captivating stories to veterans who served from the 1960s until recent years, experienced a day filled with great company and shared memories. The event not only featured a delicious Christmas meal but also offered additional entertainment in the form of a quiz, live performances, and a thrilling prize draw.
The success of the event was made possible through the support of the RAF Benevolent Fund and a number of generous donors. Thanks to their contributions, the event was completely free for all attendees, ensuring that every veteran and their family could enjoy a special holiday celebration.
