Prime Minister Narendra Modi Addresses ‘Serious’ Parliament Security Breach Incident, Calls for Thorough Investigation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken out about the recent security breach incident at the Parliament, emphasizing the significance of the issue to national security. He has urged political parties to refrain from politicizing the incident and called for a comprehensive investigation into the matter.

During an interview with a media outlet, PM Modi expressed the seriousness of the incident and stressed the need for a thorough probe. He stated, We should delve into the depths of this occurrence and find a solution to prevent its recurrence. The Prime Minister further mentioned that the Speaker of the Lok Sabha has ordered an investigation and expressed confidence that the conspiracy behind the breach would be exposed.

Highlighting the importance of understanding the intentions of the accused and identifying the active elements involved, PM Modi emphasized the need for a detailed investigation into the incident.

Earlier, PM Modi had instructed senior ministers to treat the security breach in the Lok Sabha with utmost seriousness. He cautioned against political maneuvering and called for collective precautionary measures during a meeting held on Thursday. Notably, the government has already formed a panel to investigate any loopholes that allowed two individuals to infiltrate the Lok Sabha and disrupt proceedings.

According to police sources, the mobile phone parts of the accused in the Parliament security breach incident have been discovered in Rajasthan. However, all the phone parts were found in a burnt condition, and the police are still searching for Lalit Jha’s phone.

It has been revealed that Lalit Jha, the accused in the security breach incident, destroyed a total of five mobile phones before arriving in Delhi, causing further complications for the investigating team. Prior to the breach, the other four suspects had handed over their phones to Jha to prevent critical investigation details from reaching the police in anticipation of their arrest.

Police sources close to the investigation stated, Lalit Jha destroyed not four but five mobile phones after fleeing to Rajasthan’s Kuchaman.

It is pertinent to note that the security breach incident occurred on the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament terror attack, which took place on December 13th.

During the Zero Hour, two individuals identified as Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber from the public gallery, releasing yellow gas from canisters and shouting anti-establishment slogans. They were swiftly overpowered by Members of Parliament.

In a separate incident, two protesters named Neelam (42) and Amol (25) demonstrated outside the Parliament with similar gas canisters. However, all four individuals were apprehended by the Delhi Police Special Cell and are currently under custody for seven days.
