Bhopal is getting ready for the rallies, which will be held from five tribal areas in Madhya Pradesh, on Thursday. The Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) is organizing the event with Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, set to start the rally from Balaghat to attract tribal people before the elections. All the rallies are set to reach Shahdol on the night of June 26th with the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, taking part in the final function of the rally in Shahdol on June 27th.
The BJP hopes to capture the 14 Lok Sabha constituencies and 70 Vidhan seats during its Yatra and aims to create a conducive political atmosphere among the tribal people in favor of the ruling dispensation.
The rally is being headed by Union Minister Faggan Singh Kulaste from Balaghat, an MP Durgadas Uike from Chhindwara, Vijay Shah, the Forest Minister, from Damoh, former Rajya Sabha member Sampattiya Uike, from Kalinjar fort in UP, and MP Himadri Singh from Sidhi.
Bhopal’s Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, stated that the tribal people would be informed about Queen Durgawati’s sacrifices throughout these yatras.
The BJP aims to attract tribal people with these colorful rallies and use this as a part of its election campaigning.
