A man is facing 25 years in prison after being accused of killing his girlfriend with a crossbow in Elma, New York. Frank J. Litterio, 61, was arraigned on a count of second-degree murder by the Erie County District Attorney, John J. Flynn. The incident took place earlier this week in Litterio’s home. According to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call at the residence on Wednesday and discovered Jill Harris, 62, dead from a crossbow wound. Litterio is accused of intentionally causing Harris’ death. He is currently hospitalized but was arraigned while in custody. Litterio is scheduled for a felony hearing on January 29, 2024, and is being held without bond. If convicted, he could face up to 25 years in prison. The motive behind the incident and the events leading up to it have not been disclosed. The authorities are continuing their investigation into this tragic incident.
