Dr. B R Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) is allowing professionals and practitioners to study one or two courses per semester from the upcoming academic year without enrolling in any of the degree programmes, according to Vice Chancellor Anu Singh Lather. The Competence Enhancement Scheme aims to offer individuals from diverse backgrounds the chance to expand their knowledge and skills by studying courses offered by AUD, with as many as 143 courses available across 14 schools of the university. The fee ranges from INR3,000 for a 2-credit course up to a maximum of INR9,000 for a 4-credit course, and courses are focused on generic and specialised subject matters. Upon completion of the requirements, candidates will be awarded credit and a completion certificate duly verified by the university which they can use for credit transfer under the Academic Bank of Credits scheme proposed by the National Education Policy 2020.
