Former Indian cricketer Venkatesh Prasad recently shared a heartwarming message for veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin after his exclusion from India’s playing XI in the WTC Final 2023 against Australia. The Indian team opted for Ravindra Jadeja over Ashwin, resulting in a loss at the Oval in London.
In an interview with The Indian Express, Ashwin spoke about his bowling and how he reacted after his exclusion from the playing XI. I would have loved to play because I have played a part in us getting there. Even in the last final, I got four wickets and bowled really well. Ever since 2018-19, my bowling overseas has been fantastic, and I have managed to win games for the team, he said.
