A woman and two children were hit by a car in Kirkdale this morning. Emergency services responded to a crash involving the three pedestrians and a white Suzuki Vitera on Stanley Road. Paramedics arrived at the scene to find the woman and two children injured.
The woman was transported to the hospital for treatment of her injuries. The two children were also taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure. The driver of the white Suzuki Vitera stopped at the scene and is cooperating with the police investigation.
Merseyside Police released a statement appealing for information about the collision. A spokesperson stated that officers were called to the incident at around 8:05 am on Tuesday, December 12th. The woman sustained minor injuries and has been taken to the hospital, while the two children were taken in for a check-up. The driver of the white Suzuki Vitera is currently assisting the police with their inquiries.
A road closure has been implemented at Lambeth Road and Stanley Road, and motorists are advised to avoid the area. Authorities are urging witnesses and drivers who were in the vicinity at the time of the incident to come forward with any information that could aid the investigation.
