New Delhi, December 11 – The Supreme Court of India upheld the abrogation of Article 370 and 35(A), stating that it will strengthen national unity. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) expressed its appreciation for the verdict, welcoming the decision. According to the RSS, this decision will contribute to the further strengthening of national unity. The people of Jammu and Kashmir are believed to have finally been freed from the injustice they faced for years due to Article 370.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also commended the Supreme Court’s decision, stating that it will strengthen the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat’ (One India, Great India). He expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the 25 crore people of the state for connecting Jammu and Kashmir with the mainstream of the country.
However, National Conference (NC) Vice President Omar Abdullah expressed disappointment over the verdict. He stated that he is not disheartened and the struggle will continue. Abdullah emphasized that the BJP took decades to reach this point and they are prepared for the long haul.
