It has been a relatively slow week on the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, but there are still some exciting updates coming to Outlook and Microsoft Teams in the near future. One notable addition is the introduction of Copilot features to the classic version of Outlook in February 2024. Users will now have the ability to receive guidance on how to effectively communicate their message and adjust the tone and length of their emails.

Additionally, the web version of Outlook will receive a new feature for administrators in January 2024. When apps are deployed in Integrated Apps, they will be accessible in Outlook on the web in Read Message Actions and Compose Ribbon.

Moving on to Microsoft Teams, the platform will make it easier to create channels across all supported platforms starting in January 2024. The option to create a channel directly from the + button in the Teams app will simplify the process for users. Creating new teams will also become simpler and quicker with the default experience being create a team from scratch.

Users will also benefit from a new Teams feed on desktop and web in January. This personalized feed will display important updates from the channels they are a part of. On mobile devices, Teams users will now be able to view live meeting statuses, including avatars of participants, whether a meeting is being recorded, and the duration of the meeting.

These upcoming updates aim to enhance the user experience and provide more efficient communication and collaboration within Microsoft 365. Stay tuned for more news and updates from the Microsoft 365 Roadmap.
